Trymwood Studios

Trymwood Studios has been bringing together artists, nature, and community in Bristol since 2019. Curating original exhibitions and running a vibrant programme of workshops dedicated to the natural world. Since 2021, Grain & Glass has been the framing studio behind their exhibitions

It's a partnership built on consistency and trust. Exhibition framing demands something particular as the works must sit together as a coherent whole, each piece individually considered but unified in presentation. For Trymwood, whose artists share a deep, direct engagement with the natural world, that coherence matters. The framing cannot compete with the work. It must support, and let the art speak.

For each exhibition, we work closely with the Trymwood team to agree a frame design that runs across the entire show including mouldings, mounts, and finishes chosen to complement the natural subject matter and the warmth of the work itself. We also work directly with their artists, taking time to understand each piece and ensuring every framing decision serves the work as the artist intended.
